My inspiration has always been the story. Then, as creatives, we all choose the medium to share our stories. I have chosen the moving image and performance to tell stories and bring the characters and their stories to life. Then;
I feel very lucky to have worked on a diverse range of productions including feature films, TV, commercial, brand, corporate video. promotional , internal communications, estate photography/video and global campaign videos(+ graphic media) for charity.
From age 6, I started training for ballet which gave me a great love for classical music and dance. Our dance school Dance Akademik was a collaborate of Royal Academy of Ballet. The first time I went on stage was at Ataturk Kultur Merkezi in Istanbul, performing on Nutcracker. Ballet would be a constant part of my life for 12 years.
At the age of 14, I joined evening stage school where I attend training and rehearsals in the evenings after school. It was mainly musicals. My favourite role ever was the role of the scary “witch”.
In 1997, I started studying Cinema & TV at Istanbul Bilgi University. In 1999, I attended New York Film Academy’s “Acting For Film” summer course that took place at Cambridge University. In 2000, I had my first job as assistant director where I started as trainee at Channel D TV in Istanbul on an investigative journalism program.
In 2001, I obtained my Master’s Degree on TV & Video Production at Bournemouth University. I wrote and directed two short films at the time. After doing my work experience at Working Title Films, a whole journey of different productions from TV series to feature films, from commercials to charity works have started.

I am vegetarian since the age of 18. I love and respect the Earth, nature and all its species. In order to follow the guidelines for sustainable productions, I became BAFTA Albert Consortium certified producer. The productions I manage conform to the Carbon Literacy Standards.
Through my work and collaborations, I aim to do my best to mobilize our efforts in the light of UN Sustainable Development Goals. *United Nations are mobilizing efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Agenda by 2030. Universal, inclusive and indivisible, the Agenda calls for action by all countries to improve the lives of people everywhere.
