Istanbul is the capital of Turkish Film Industry. The largest Film/TV Studio in Istanbul offers 19 film, TV and photographic studios ranging in size from 225 square metres to 1687 square metres. They are also one of the leading camera and lighting equipment services providers in the sector. Another studio that is mainly preferred for commercials, music videos and it offers four stages plus a range of rental equipment (lighting, camera, grip, generator, crew etc).
The Studios located on the Mediterranean coast of south-west Turkey, between the Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean sea, Antalya has two stages and a back lot. The also offer all production needs for films/commercial .
Turkey`s climate is an advantage for filmmakers since they would be able to find colder temperatures (snow) up on the mountains where they will be able to film milder temperatures with sunshine. The coastal areas of Turkey bordering the Black Sea have a temperate Oceanic climate with warm, wet summers and cool to cold, wet winters.
The coastal areas of Turkey bordering the Sea of Marmara (including Istanbul), which connects the Aegean Sea and the Black Sea, have a transitional climate between a temperate Mediterranean climate and a temperate Oceanic climate with warm to hot, moderately dry summers and cool to cold, wet winters.
